I have been working as a deputy manager at a care home based at ruislip. My job role is a demanding one but a very rewarding one deputizing and managing the home in the absence of the home manager. My job includes ensuring that the home is run effectively and that there is enough skill mix across the floors, liasing with the multi disciplinary team, this includes the GP, chiropodist, podiatrist and nurse specialists and also the 111 services in the case of emergencies.
As a deputy manager I also manage the rota ensuring that agency requests are kept to a minimum maintaining cost effectiveness within the home.
I am familiar with auditing, and currently my monthly audits include medication. Dining room experience, health and safety and infection control, all of which are submitted on a monthly basis with an action plan attached if necessary,
I am also very familiar with the CQC’s key line of enquiry having been through three inspections which I was very much involved with.

I am also a trained moving and handling trainer.

I work hard to ensure that standards are met within the home and that the residents in my care are cared for with respect and the dignity that they deserve.

Previous to this I worked as a care supervisor for a 5 star luxury care home in ascot. My job role included managing the care assistants, managing skill mix, rota and on call, I left due to promotion.

Hobbies and interests

Having two children, I am leading a busy life style, so I do enjoy our days out or just relaxing in front of the TV. My next passion are books, because I like reading a lot. I also love cooking and watching cooking programs. Most of all I like meeting new people and interacting with them.
